NDC Appoints Phillips to Vice President of Vendor Services

NASHVILLE, TN, October 16, 2006 — National Distribution & Contracting, Inc. (NDC) announces the appointment of Burns P. Phillips III to vice president of vendor services.
As vice president of vendor services, Phillips will oversee the management of the NDC contract services, program development, and supplier relations.

Phillips has over twenty-seven years experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining NDC, Phillips was founder and president of BOSS Instruments, Inc., a Tennessee-based manufacturer of surgical instruments. In that capacity, he negotiated and structured distribution contracts, developed both domestic and international sales distribution networks, and created sales and marketing programs. Phillips’ professional experience also includes positions with S.S. White, Patterson Dental and Specialty Surgical Instrumentation, Inc.

Mark Seitz, president and chief executive officer comments, “The expertise that Burns brings to this position will assure continued success in delivering value to our distributor member and vendor partners. He has coordinated the purchase of products from multiple sources, securing best costs and quality. As VP of vendor services, he will exercise these responsibilities while also building strong relationships and driving sales.”

Phillips earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University, and his doctor of jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law.
