NDC Appoints New CFO

NASHVILLE, TN, August 22, 2007 — National Distribution & Contracting, Inc. (NDC) announces the
appointment of J. Scott Craighead to chief financial officer. Mr. Craighead succeeds Jack Vannatta
as chief financial officer, who retired on July 31, 2007 after three years of service. Mr. Vannatta will
remain active in the transition process.

Mr. Craighead has over fourteen years of experience in public and privately owned entities developing
long-range strategic plans with executive management. Mr. Craighead was most recently CFO
of Goldleaf Financial Solutions, Inc., a provider of integrated technology-based solutions designed
to improve the financial performance of financial institutions. As Vice President Finance and CFO,
respectively, he received leadership awards for his performance. Prior to that he held positions with
Ernst & Young LLP and Arthur Andersen LLP.

Mark Seitz, president and chief executive officer comments, “We are excited to have Scott bring his
wealth of professional experience to the team at NDC. Scott will have the opportunity to contribute
to the success of our organization as its chief financial officer and as a member of our executive
committee.”

Mr. Craighead earned a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from the University of Tennessee.
He lives in Mount Juliet, TN with his wife and four children.
