NDC Combines Groups

NASHVILLE, TN, May 2, 2008 — National Distribution & Contracting, Inc. (NDC) announces their three medical member groups — ABCO, CIDA and StarLine — will combine to form one membership organization, NDC. This change is effective as of May 1, 2008. The company will begin a 12-18 month consolidation of its existing private label programs into one the Pro AdvantageŽ label.

"We believe that combining the groups will better position our members to compete more effectively against the national medical supply companies in the markets they serve, and will as a result of a single branding strategy, allow NDC to negotiate better product pricing," said NDC President & CEO Mark Seitz.

The Pro Advantage line of products is a new focus, but the vast majority of sales through the distributor members will remain branded products. The value to contract manufacturers will be further strengthened by NDC's ability to serve a combined membership. Combining groups provides such efficiencies as one national meeting, single member lists for sales, and a future single product catalog.

NDC's oldest membership organization, ABCO, was founded in 1953. CIDA was established in 1979, while StarLine was formed in 1986. In 1996, ABCO acquired StarLine. Two years later, NDC was formed as the parent of ABCO and StarLine. In 1998, NDC acquired CIDA.
